Diploma in Apparel Design and

Product Development

Programme Overview

This programme provides the technical knowledge and creative tools to succeed in apparel design and product development. From pattern drafting to garment construction and prototyping, gain hands-on skills to bring your design concepts to life as polished, industry-ready collections.

The overall main learning points of this programme are:

  • Develop branding, merchandising, and product strategies to create cohesive collections that resonate with target audiences and align with business goals.

  • Build expertise in pattern drafting, sewing, and garment construction to produce high-quality, production-ready designs.

  • Explore draping, digital sketching, and textile applications to design original, trend-forward collections.

  • Strengthen quality assurance, streamline production workflows, and leverage virtual prototyping to deliver consistent, industry-standard garments.

Admission Requirements

Minimum age: 16 years old

Academic Entry Requirements

  • GCE ‘O’ Level credits with minimum grade C6 in 3 subjects, including English and Mathematics; or
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in any field; or
  • Advanced Certificate from any PEI; or
  • Higher NITEC

All students are required to have basic knowledge of computer and Microsoft Office.

English Language Entry Requirements

  • IELTS score 5.5 or TOEFL score 46; or
  • Pass GCE 'O' Level English with minimum grade C6; or
  • Pass Tembusu Institute's English test

Tuition Fee

Full tuition fee: SGD$26,068.99

*Tuition fee subsidies are available, subject to the Institute’s terms and conditions.

Application Fee:

  • Singaporeans: SGD$327
  • ASEAN: SGD$708.50
