The Preparatory Course for Singapore-Cambridge Secondary Education Certificate (SEC) Examination equips students with the subject knowledge, skills and examination techniques needed to prepare for the SEC examination. Students develop their understanding through structured lessons, guided practice and regular assessments, with an emphasis on applying knowledge and answering examination questions confidently.
The course covers English Language, Mathematics and selected elective subjects, according to the subjects offered by Tembusu Institute. It strengthens students’ academic preparation and supports progression to further education, subject to their examination results and the admission requirements of their chosen institutions.
Intensive: 12 months

Students are advised to take six subjects to build a broad academic foundation and keep their further education options open. Depending on their examination results and subject combination, students may progress to junior colleges, polytechnics or other pre-university programmes offered by private and international schools, subject to each institution’s admission requirements.
