Higher Diploma in Business Management

Programme Overview

This programme provides students with the necessary theoretical knowledge in the interdisciplinary fields of Human Resources, Leadership, International Business, Brand management, Sustainable Strategic Business management, Project management, Operations and Change Management.

The overall main learning points of this programme are:

  • Develop a broad understanding of business management, including international business, brand management and strategic business management.

  • Develop knowledge and skills in human resource management and leadership to support effective organisational management.

  • Develop foundational skills in business analytics and financial decision-making, including quantitative techniques and financial analysis.

  • Develop the ability to plan and manage projects, improve business operations, and understand organisational change.

Duration

Full Time: 8 Months (480 hours)
Part Time: 8 Months (216 hours)

Admission Requirements

Minimum age: 18 years old

Academic Entry Requirements

  • Tembusu Advanced Diploma in Business Management holder; or
  • Polytechnic diploma in relevant field; or
  • BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Business; or
  • BTEC Level 5 Higher National Diploma in Business (Accounting and Finance); or
  • An approved Diploma or Higher Diploma from private education institutions of Singapore with prior entry requirements as GCE 'A' level Examination or Equivalent; or
    The transcript from your diploma course must demonstrate that you have read and passed the equivalents of essential Tembusu Advanced Diploma in Business Management modules.
  • Pass in Year 1 modules of a bachelor’s degree qualification
    with prior entry requirements (when admitted to qualifying bachelor’s qualification) which is as follows: Singapore-Cambridge GCE ‘A’ Level Examination in the English medium and must have obtained at least two passes in subjects at H2 level with One H1 Level pass and attempted General Paper (GP) or Knowledge & Inquiry (KI). The transcript from your bachelor’s degree qualification must demonstrate that you have read and passed the equivalents of essential Tembusu Advanced Diploma in Business Management modules.

English Language Entry Requirements

  • Students must complete and obtain a Pass in English in high school; or
  • IELTS 6.0; or
  • Equivalent English language qualification
